Hypercolour

Description

These are the colours of radiation radio through gamma. This is gluon, graviton, strong, electro-weak and all the other forces of matter. These are the exposed, collapsed, quantum realities that govern the temporal world and all probable futures.

This is fifty thousand years worth of man and machine. This is space, time, alternate times, chaos, entropy, natural law, SEEN, MEMORISED AND UNDERSTOOD at competences comparable with godhood.

This is Hypercolour.

The above depicts primary colours red, blue green, stretched though an extended 12 colour spectrum.

Not my best, comments and crits appreciated!

(edit) Refined nebula, other elements.

I can see it burning, right there on the screen. Every ounce of this screams Val's artist description:

"This is fifty thousand years worth of man and machine....This is godhood.

This is Hypercolour."
---
Vision: Well on the whole your entire mythos and future history of mankind is a vision in itself. But with this image (and others, I should add) you obviously have a clear vision of what this universe looks like and how things operate. This image BLEEDS confidence in your details, coalescing into what looks like a convincing still taken from the imager of a third Varuna ship.

Originality: I have always love space shots like this with a far-off distant destination and a clear forward progression of perspective. Unfortunately this kind of image isn't done that often, even less so considering the level of quality. Your own concepts not-withstanding [as no one in their right mind could find them 'unoriginal'!] the piece itself presents a unique perspective of spaceflight.

Technique:
I've been watching your general space pieces for about a year now, and every time I see a new piece in-universe, they get better and better! This takes the cake, however. There are so many little details in the nebulous structure, the ice/dust particles and coronal halos, and the ships themselves.

Impact: The moment this image loaded on my monitor, the whole thing snapped into focus. Everything clicked, and I could feel that tiny fraction of temporal emotion that was leaking through. This image is a statement that cannot be defined any more than Val has already done above.

Critique: It's very hard for me to honestly find a fault that should be addressed. There are faults, like the clarity and possibly the field of vision, however those contribute to the tangibility and realism of this piece. The only thing that I can say here is that the nebulous structure could use a moderate helping of additional substance. It seems very textural, appearing flat in some areas, lacking detail in others, as though it was resized later to fit a larger composition.

I submit to you that this is, in fact, one of your best.
Overall: 4.5/5 Stars.
